Hello! I'm Ivan and I'm based out of Singapore. I work as an Engineering Manager.
Hi, I'm Oluf Nissen. I read the Phoenix Project a long time ago and couldn't wait to read the Unicorn Project as well. Looking forward to hearing and sharing perspectives.
Hey - I'm Richard James and I head up Ways of Working Enablement for Nationwide Building Society in the UK. Background over the last 2-3yrs in technology and transformational leadership for our digital business - we've made good progress on creating long-lived Product-aligned cross-functional teams (now moving to value-streams), a production CICD-enabling Public Cloud platform, DevOps/SRE maturity and re-insourcing of engineering...now just got to tackle the enterprise itself π. I've got a history in my reading of too much WIP - I will happily start 2-3 books over the same period...I'm hoping to use this opportunity to force focus on the one I've been most looking forward to in my recently-received list!!!

Hi, I'm Mads from Denmark. Long time fan of all the stuff coming from Gene and co, I particularly enjoyed Beyond the Phoenix Project! I'm employed in a mid-sized (in danish scale) web/cms agency of about 20 people, so on the one hand we have an easy time of implementing a lot of the things DevOps is all about, on the other hand I feel we're a bit blind to the reality most of our peers in larger organisations face. I really look forward to the discussions in this club.
Hi, I'm John from Scotland (but based in London). I'm an agile coach with a programming and DevOps background, so the Unicorn Project is close to my heart π Looking forward to joining in the discussions.
Hi Everyone, I'm based in the East Mids, UK and am an Agile Coach. I'm working with a multiple teams all ranging from currently transitioning to DevOps to another team who are starting their transition to Agile.
Hey everyone. I'm from Midwest Central Illinois, USA. I'm working as a Software Support Engineer for a hospital and I support a couple software like our dictation system, enterprise faxing solution, IV pump software and integration to our EMR, and I co-support our enterprise ECM (Electronic Content Management) System. I am always looking for ways to use the ideas and items from this book.
Howdy! I am in software development in Houston, Texas and a practicing agilest and change agent. Last couple of jobs/projects have revolved around agility and process improvement. I have been (slowing) leading a move to DevOps for my current organization and 2020 is the year we will make great strides! Love both books, have given several copies as gifts and looking forward to interaction here in Slack!

hi all! I'm Evelien from the Netherlands. I mostly work as a business consultant/ product manager/ product owner, helping businesses with their digital transformation. I do spend a lot of time in helping business and IT to get a better understand of the challenges business and IT are facing, so together we could create better IT solutions and matching processes to achieve our business goals. Many examples of the Phoenix project did help me in this journey. I'm looking forward to our discussion here.
Hi everyone!, I'm Julian from BogotΓ‘, Colombia. I'm working as the lead DevOps/SRE engineer for a fintech company distributed around Latin America, both Phoenix & Unicorn have been invaluable for my job trying to lead a DevOps revolution in my current position.
Good morning all . Arthur Polynskiy here from the cold Eden Prairie MN. I am a DevOps engineer working for Lifetouch/Shutterfly. Our DevOps journey has began about 2 yrs ago and has been moving fast. I loved reading Phoenix Project and found it very entertaining as well as useful. It was amazing to see and identify characters in the book to some of my coworkers and business. I have also completed the DevOps Handbook which I found little harder to swallow but am looking forward to learning a great deal from this Book Club.. Thank you for the invite

Hello everyone! I'm a software engineer in the healthcare industry out of Pittsburgh, PA. I'm working on our operations team trying to develop solutions to enable our developers to reduce lead times. I'm definitely interested in the DevOps principles, and how we can work to put those into our daily practices.
Product/Application development engineer from Pittsburgh focusing on quality and process improvement. Very interested in hearing about everyone's broad experiences in DevOps!
Hi! Lars TrΓΈen, Norway here. Used to be a dev, but been in ops as a consultant for 15 years now. Read the Phoenix Project back in 2013.
I head up development in a UK government department. We have a mixed bag - part legacy Oracle tech, part modern systems with XP practices. Some people know what good looks like and get to do that, others know what good look like but are near-drowning as we attempt to turn the tide, and some people are blissfully ignorant of or don't want to learn what good looks like. It's tough but a worthwhile mission π
Hi! Anshul Lalit from Norway :flag-no: here. I work as Director for DevOps & QM. I am passionate about Technology Optimization, Cultural Challenges, Empowering people and Quality. Loved some talks of Gene Kim, Donavan Brown and Sam G. in the past, love their approach and strategic thinking, its inspiring at its best. The Phoenix Project was a landmark in DevOps initiatives, great read. TUP is no less, and I am looking forward to learn, understand and get inspired with various thought processes, approaches and strategies across the board, happy to be a part of this group. :unicorn_face:π:skin-tone-3:
I head up the network and data center teams for a regional service provider in Minnesota looking to build a more agile IT practice.
I'm being pulled away from writing automation tests to write a test plan document. Something's wrong with this scenario, that's why I'm here.

I'm an Agile Transformation Consultant actively seeking work. Most recently, I've been working as a federal contractor in the Federal Civilian sector.
I run IT for Herschel Supply in Vancouver, Canada and have in the past been developer, PM, consultant on various teams and technologies. I couldn't finish TUP during my holidays because it stressed me out. π

Not many of my team members are Star Wars fans, and don't really get excited about the reference to the rebel alliance. Trying to find an entertaining rebellion metaphor that resonates better with my team. Anyone have any creative ideas, since I am so far at a loss? (i am a little worried that i will get a swath of responses from star wars aficionados calling blasphemy)
