Not trying to jump ahead but I’m interested in the first two chapters where there appears to be a contradiction between having teams be focused on specific areas yet earlier in the chapter there was a recommendation to put a DBA or SME into each team so it doesn’t create a funnel and overload on the DB team. Am I misreading this?

How do you handle a re-organization with the teams? Specifically with knowledge and resources constraint? The scenario is a few people left and to fill in the holes left by those people; people were re-shuffled in the org. Now some went to knew projects completely while a few took the existing projects with them. One such case is a person took a big project that had 5 people working on it, but usually 3 people regularly. Now that single person is responsible for everything and having to pull double shifts to cover. The thought to handle this is to train people on the new team to help, but they are swamped with 21 medium to large applications also. What would be the best approach to fix this team? Thanks for the help.
