How do you see project or product managers fitting in to the four team topologies?

KurtA12:09:01

Chapter 5 mentions that "platform teams" should exhibit a fractal replication of the 4 overarching typologies. This seems to be one of the bigger pain points that I've seen, because often the platform team is created by cleaving off the engineers, but the much smaller headcount roles (such as PM/UX people) end up left behind in the customer-facing teams and the platform suffers "design by engineer" rather than user-centric design. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Especially when you talk in chapter 6 about software cleavage planes? The imbalance of roles makes it very difficult to split without leaving one side underserved.
