My currently biggest personal concern with the events in the book is the “soft skills” side of things. Obviously people at the core of the Rebelion are not just talented and passionate engineers, they’re also good leaders and communicators (the “donuts for QA” move alone is a good example).

As we know, the "soft" skills are really the hardest skills.

<!here> Welcome to week two of IT Revolution’s The Unicorn Project book club! This week we will be looking at Part II of the book. Here is the first ticket to lead off the week:

Hey everyone! Week 2 (aka Part II) of book club beings today. I'm trying to figure out how far into the book everyone is, so please take a sec and answer this anonymous poll.

While you're in the poll-taking mood, would people generally be in favor or opposed to having us split you into smaller, temporary discussion groups? Click the emoji response that represents your feelings on the matter.

Namely, a thumps up or down.

I may have miss interpreted the schedule. Was the expectation to have section 1 read before we started week 1 of the club, or read it during week one? A chapter or two per day is a fine pace, but I may have I started from behind. I have not yet read part ii.😅

Alex (IT Rev)22:01:08

There's no wrong or right way to do it. We intentionally left it as a big window because we figured people would be at different points in the book. This week is intended to be about Part II, so whether that means you're reading now or already finished it, it works out.
